HXG Tangshan Hexiang Intelligent Technology: Exhibition Stall Design at Indian Ceramics Asia, Gandhinagar

Client: HXG - Tangshan Hexiang Intelligent Technology

Most of the area goes to seating, a dozen glass tables and moulded chairs on grey carpet. Around them a continuous blue fascia band carries the company name at height, and the walls below become lightbox panels covering the profile, the casting machines and the client list. Scale models of production lines sit on a long skirted table and a central plinth, an LED wall behind them. Blue acrylic letters mark the corner of this two-side open stand.

Context

The Brief

Buyers here arrive as delegations - 5 or 6 people from a sanitaryware plant, all of whom sit down together. HXG makes high-pressure casting machines and complete production lines, which cannot travel. With 81 sqm and 2 open sides, the exhibition stall design at Indian Ceramics Asia Gandhinagar had to seat those groups comfortably and prove the machinery some other way.

01

The Challenge

Buyers here arrive as delegations - 5 or 6 people from a sanitaryware plant, all of whom sit down together. With 81 sqm and 2 open sides, the exhibition stall design at Indian Ceramics Asia Gandhinagar had to seat those groups comfortably and prove the machinery some other way.

What We Designed

Most of the area goes to seating, a dozen glass tables and moulded chairs on grey carpet. Around them a continuous blue fascia band carries the company name at height, and the walls below become lightbox panels covering the profile, the casting machines and the client list. Scale models of production lines sit on a long skirted table and a central plinth, an LED wall behind them. Blue acrylic letters mark the corner of this two-side open stand.

03

Why It Worked

Height did the pulling: the blue band was legible from the far end of the shed, and the models stopped people at close range. Groups could sit without waiting, which is the real test of an exhibition stall design at Indian Ceramics Asia Gandhinagar when a factory team of 6 arrives together. Nobody had to stand about at the edge of someone else's meeting.
