IDEC with Orchid Technology: exhibition stall design at Dahej Industrial Expo, Bharuch

Client: IDEC (with Orchid Technology)

A deep white canopy with a red band runs unbroken around all three open sides, both logos locked up on each face, and its underside is lined in red and filled with recessed downlights, giving the stall its own ceiling under the tent. Inside the tech trade show booth, white plinths with red edge trim carry working hardware: safety relays, tower lights, control panels, an electric wheel unit. Printed walls behind explain assembly-line safety and vision inspection.

Context

The Brief

The Dahej show runs under a fabric pavilion where daylight is grey and flat, and nothing on a wall reads by itself. IDEC and its solution partner Orchid Technology shared 48 sqm on three open sides, with live automation hardware to demonstrate. The exhibition stall design at Dahej Industrial Expo in Bharuch needed its own light and a fascia that carried two brands without either losing out.

The exhibition stall design at Dahej Industrial Expo in Bharuch needed its own light and a fascia that carried two brands without either losing out.

What We Designed

A deep white canopy with a red band runs unbroken around all three open sides, both logos locked up on each face, and its underside is lined in red and filled with recessed downlights, giving the stall its own ceiling under the tent. Inside the tech trade show booth, white plinths with red edge trim carry working hardware: safety relays, tower lights, control panels, an electric wheel unit. Printed walls behind explain assembly-line safety and vision inspection.

03

Why It Worked

Engineers walked up and touched things. The tower lights were lit and the panels switched, so the plinths worked as demonstrations rather than displays. Open on three sides, the stall could be entered from wherever an aisle brought someone. The red band gave two brands a single block, and the downlit canopy made this exhibition stall design at Dahej Industrial Expo Bharuch the brightest thing in a grey pavilion.
