Sotax: instrument-led exhibition stall design at Pharmatech Expo Gandhinagar

Sotax sells dissolution and hardness testing systems to lab buyers who want to see the vessel, the tablet holder, the interface. Everything in the exhibition stall design at Pharmatech Expo Gandhinagar therefore had to be read from the aisle, because visitors would not walk around a corner to find it.

Grey plinths of two heights run along the aisle edge, each labelled for what stands on it: dissolution testing at one end, hardness testing at the other. A blue LED line under the skirting lifts them off the carpet. The rear wall of this pharma trade show booth stays white, broken only by blue-framed printed panels and a screen, with a deep fascia carrying the illuminated Sotax mark. A small meeting table takes the far corner.

Because the machines sat at standing height right on the aisle line, people stopped without stepping in, and stepping in came next. The white walls kept attention on the instruments rather than the graphics, and the labels meant staff never had to open with an explanation. For a single-sided plot, the exhibition stall design at Pharmatech Expo Gandhinagar used its one frontage hard.
