Vasant Spices at AnuFood Mumbai 2023 | 18 sqm Exhibition Stall Design

Spice packs are small, glossy and easily lost on a shelf. Vasant had 18 sqm on a two-side-open plot at NESCO, in a hall where nearly every neighbour was working in saturated red and orange. The exhibition stall design at AnuFood Mumbai needed the packs to look considered rather than stacked, and needed somewhere quiet to talk volumes with trade buyers.

Spice packs are small, glossy and easily lost on a shelf. Vasant had 18 sqm on a two-side-open plot at NESCO, in a hall where nearly every neighbour was working in saturated red and orange. The exhibition stall design at AnuFood Mumbai needed the packs to look considered rather than stacked, and needed somewhere quiet to talk volumes with trade buyers.

We kept almost everything white — walls, fascia, counter — and used one teak-laminate column with floating shelves as the single warm element, which left the coloured packs on those shelves as the brightest thing in view. A deep fascia band carries the red logo box with downlights recessed into its underside. Backlit product panels hold the rear wall, and wooden-plank flooring, a sofa and a glass table close the exhibition stall design at AnuFood Mumbai off as a room.

Restraint got noticed in a hall of saturated fascias — the white box and its lit red mark were legible well down the aisle, and the teak shelf tower gave the eye somewhere to land. Buyers came in to look at packs and stayed on the sofa. Leaving the food exhibition stall open on two sides meant nobody had to commit to entering first.
